At Spoon Moment, we believe that taking care of yourself goes hand in hand with taking care of the planet. That’s why we take sustainability very seriously. Our spoons and packaging are made with the future in mind, and we continue to evolve to minimize our impact on the environment.
Our current spoons: biobased and recyclable
At Spoon Moment, it's all about small moments of happiness. Slowing down, enjoying. And how nice it is when that moment not only feels good for you, but also for the world around you. That's why we consciously chose materials that make a positive impact .
Our spoons are made from an innovative bio-based material made from renewable resources such as sugar cane. Although the material is not biodegradable, its ability to be fully recycled and its origin from renewable sources makes it a more sustainable choice than conventional plastic.
Choosing sustainably doesn't have to be difficult.
It's all in the little things: a conscious choice here, a reuse idea there. For example, our cardboard cylinder: far too beautiful to throw away! Use it as a pencil holder, mini plant pot or treasure chest for small moments of happiness .

Thanks to this careful approach, we prevent unnecessary waste and Spoon Moment has a return percentage of less than 0.7% . And we are proud of that!
The origin of our ingredients
For us, sustainability means more than just making conscious choices in materials. We also care about where our ingredients come from and how they are produced .
At Spoon Moment we work exclusively with natural, high-quality ingredients , carefully selected for both taste and origin. We choose suppliers who work with respect for people and nature, and who guarantee fair working conditions.
Because we don’t have our own plantations, we work with reliable partners who, like us, believe in quality, sustainability and transparency . From the tea fields to your cup: we ensure that every step in the process contributes to a better world – for you and the planet.
Fully compostable spoons
From July 2025, we will take a big step towards fully compostable spoons. This means that our products not only perform their function perfectly, but can also break down naturally after use – without leaving any harmful residues.
We will use materials such as those of Nespresso's compostable coffee cups . This material is based on PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoates), a bioplastic produced by micro-organisms. Our new spoons retain the delicious taste and are specially designed to compost at home with your garden and kitchen waste.
Completely biodegradable , both in industrial composting plants and in nature.
Made from natural resources: Such as plant residues or agricultural waste streams.
Suitable for food contact: Safe and environmentally friendly.
